Though Wordpress 2.7 will not be delivered on schedule (November 10), we can still test drive the latest version of Wordpress after Wordpress released the first beta version of upcoming Wordpress 2.7 recently. In Wordpress 2.7, you can expect new visual style for the dashboard and several new features. Wordpress developers are currently working hard to make sure Wordpress 2.7 is completely compatible with all browsers because there are few glitches reported in Opera and Internet Explorer (it works fine in Firefox and Safari).

The final version of Wordpress will be delivered 2 weeks late but you can download the beta version to get yourself familiar with the new interface and features.
