Regardless of whatever language is written in an article, you can still understand it by running a translator. The translation may not be precise but it is not hard to get the whole idea of that particular article. The only problem that boggles us is if we have no idea at all what language is associated to the article. It is not that hard if we can narrow down the unknown language into several possible ones, unfortunately that is not necessarily the case.
Polyglot 3000 is a helpful language identification tool that can recognize the language being used in any text by cross checking only sentence, phrase or even word.
This tool will display the result by displaying the recognition time and recognition accuracy. So in order to increase the accuracy, the longer the sentences the better the result will be. Currently, it supports more than 400 languages and is compatible with Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP.
