I tried different softwares to rip some of DVDs (24 and Smallville) I recently bought but the results were all almost the same, the final extraction came out as faulty (out of sync etc). The long hours taken to rip a DVD made me exhausted. I gave Blaze Media Pro a try though I know it is not a free software (thanks to the 15-day trial). I definitely didn't want to go to the same dead end and waste my time again.
Suffice to say it worked like a charm and I finally managed to convert the DVD format to the desired format (it's worth to mention it can even convert DVD to AVI, MPG, WMV and many more).
While going the long hours ripping the DVDs Blaze Media Pro, I explored other features that are available in Blaze Media Pro. It's really a versatile software when it comes to editing, ripping, burning (good CD burning software & DVD burning software), and converting audios and videos. Not like many other softwares, most other media recording softwares are only associated to common file types. This software was able to do amd conversion and almost every file out there.
Now, the thing that makes Blaze Media Pro really stands out as compared to other video/audio editing softwares is primarily due to its whole media management program (with intuitive interface) which makes it a perfect package. Blaze Media Pro is able to handle file format like CD, MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, MPEG-4, AIFF, M4A, AAC, AC3, FLAC, ALAC, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, AVI, WMV, ASF, Flash (SWF and FLV), iPod, PSP, 3GP, and MOV. If you want to see the supported formats take a look at the "Help File". I'm sure you will be surprised by the number of formats the software can work with.
Blaze Media Pro Requirements
Blaze Media Pro works with Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000, XP or Vista (tried on XP and Vista), a Pentium class 800 MHz processor or better with 512 MB RAM recommended, an SVGA or higher resolution display and DirectX 8.1 or better.
If you don't mind to invest some money for your time (no more time wasting), I highly recommend this software where you can pick up a copy of Blaze Media Pro for $50.
